Department SummaryThe Digital Spaces Department manages physical
and virtual classrooms, specialized learning environments, and
other learning environments (e.g., conference spaces, dormitories,
dining halls, live event spaces, etc.). This team makes sure all
spaces on campus are suitably equipped with functional and
innovative technology that meets the needs of the educational
experience and enables the world-class teaching and learning for
which UCLA is internationally recognized. Members of this
department also manage the installation and long-term management of
display technology across the university. Position SummaryThe AV/IT
Architect (Enterprise Architecture) will execute the integrated
audiovisual system architecture and systems design across the
university, including general use classrooms, production spaces,
live events, digital signage, study spaces, lecture halls,
conference rooms, and other AV-integrated spaces, ensuring
consistency and interoperability across the enterprise. The AV/IT
Architect (Enterprise Architecture) will create designs, perform
proof-of-concepts, execute innovative best-in-class solutions, and
work with internal and external teams and vendors to align Digital
Spaces solutions with ITS initiatives. The AV/IT Architect
(Enterprise Architecture) will assist in delivering leading-edge
AV/IT solutions to ensure effective teaching & learning and
seamless user experience. The AV/IT Architect (Enterprise
Architecture) will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture
by enhancing the digital learning environments and interactive
spaces that support the University's academic mission and community
engagement. This team member will advance the University's mission
by delivering exceptional information technology services
comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and
students. This role will execute UCLA's vision while modeling
UCLA's culture and values. Salary & Compensation*UCLA provides a
full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including
budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education,
licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

- Five years Experience working in one or more of the following
fields: information technology, AV/IT, customer service, higher
education, AV integration, or a related field. (Required)
- Experience in delivering network and cloud-based AVIT solutions
at scale. (Required)
- Extensive experience solving technical and non-technical
problems; able to delegate solutioning. Able to lead data gathering
efforts seeking information from diverse sources. (Required)
- Experience as a point of escalation. understanding of how
decisions affect teams. ability to make decisions with integrity.

- Demonstrated experience providing inclusive leadership of
others, cultivating an inclusive environment that values equity,
diversity, inclusion and belonging. (Required)
- Seven or more years Experience working in one or more of the
following fields: information technology, AV/IT, customer service,
higher education, AV integration. (Preferred)
- Experience in complex higher education environments, serving
academic and administrative functions of a large public university.

- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors in a high-touch
and customer-centric environment. (Required)
- Ability to execute on a long-term strategic vision for digital
spaces and event services that aligns with the university's mission
and goals. (Required)
- Adept at identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring business
continuity, data security, and customer satisfaction.

- Ability to articulate a strategy that motivates others to
action. Proven experience in managing customer interests in a
large-scale organization. (Required)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills and is able to
communicate work assignments to medium-sized teams. Demonstrated
experience presenting complex technical information to audiences of
technical and non-technical stakeholders. (Required)
- Demonstrated leadership / management skills, including
abilities in persuasion, negotiation, change management, and
mentorship. (Required)
- Advanced project management skills with demonstrated experience
delegating responsibility, tracking project progress, supervising
others, and advising teams on competing priorities. (Required)
- Inspires creativity in others and advises teams on
industry-leading practices, such as the incorporation of new
technologies or processes. Has demonstrated experience leading in
an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. (Required) Education,

- Bachelor's Degree Information technology, computer science,
public administration, business administration, communications, or
a related field. (Required)

- Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) or equivalent
certification (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional Certification (Preferred)
Special Conditions for Employment
- This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that
includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work
remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for
reimbursement).The anticipated pay range for this position is
$120,201-$133,557, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills
and experience of the selected finalist.NOTE: This position
