Great team culture! Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly-skilled Cost Accountant to join our vibrant manufacturing team. This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial department. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, preparing financial statements, and managing inventory accounting. Responsibilities: As a Cost Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Conducting regular budget preparation, monitoring, and control. 2. Preparing accurate financial statements for decision-making and compliance purposes. 3. Managing inventory accounting, including tracking of all inventory transactions, maintaining accurate inventory records, and conducting regular inventory audits. 4. Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular cost reports. 5. Implementing cost standards for materials and labor. 6. Assisting in month-end and year-end closing. 7. Identifying and implementing improvements to the cost accounting process. 8. Collaborating with various departments to gather information for cost analysis. 9. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. 10. Participating in internal and external audits, and addressing any discrepancies identified. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Cost Accountant position should possess the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. 2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry. 3. Proficiency in budgeting, preparing financial statements, and inventory accounting. 4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. 5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. 6. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. 11. Professional certification such as CMA or CPA will be an added advantage.
