Under direct supervision\nof the General Diagnostic Manager and Medical Director the Radiologic\nTechnologist (RT) will produce diagnostic images utilizing a variety of\nradiographic equipment. Fix radiographic, fluoroscopic and mobile equipment\nfollowing prescribed protocols and procedures. As the RT, you will competently\nperform radiographic procedures on neonates, infants, children, adults and\ngeriatric patients. Complete all studies in a timely and efficient manner and\nproduce film images utilizing Digital Radiography, image processors and process\nas prescribed standards. You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites\nstaffed by UCLA Health. Duties include but are not\nlimited to: \n Assist in performing sterile\n technique procedures as required \n Assist Radiologist as needed \n Follow established quality assurance\n procedures \n Maintain patient dignity and\n confidentiality \n Patient education prior to the\n examination \n Preparation of needed supplies and\n equipment set up \n The RT is expected to\nsupport UCLA healthcare radiology locations in the Los Angeles region. Radiologic Technologists\nneed to possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful\nperformance of duties assigned to the position; graduate of a Radiologic\nTechnology Training Program approved by the American Medical Association or\nequivalent training, maintaining current CRT, CRT – Fluoro and ARRT licensure. *shift updated from 8 hour evening shifts to 8 hour evening/night shifts on 12/22/25* *Internal candidates will be placed according to their\nActive/Current career ladder level* Salary Ranges: Radiologic Technologist: $48.52 - $59.14 Hourly Senior Radiologic Technologist: $50.69 - $66.83 Hourly Principle Radiologic Technologist: $53.19 - $70.19 Hourly Salary Range: $48.52 -\n$70.19 Hourly \n \n \n Qualifications \n Please ensure your resume and application\nincludes a list of all relevant certifications and licenses. \n Sr. Tech\n Requirements – At least 2 yrs experience in General Diagnostic\n environment. Specialized in at least two areas of expertise:\n Trauma/ED/Inpatient, General Fluoroscopic Procedures, General Operating\n Room, Dexa \n Pr. Tech Requirements – Specialized\n in more than two areas above along with Special Fluoroscopic\n Procedures/C-Arms \n ARRT certification – required \n CRT license – required \n Fluoroscopic permit – required \n BCLS certificate from American Heart\n Association or American Red Cross– required \n Accredited Radiologic Technologist\n Program graduate \n \n Ability to adapt to advancement and changing\n technology \n Ability to identify and recognize contraindications\n for exams. (Radiology Only) \n Ability to respond efficiently to expressed needs of\n referring services, physicians and patients \n Demonstrate knowledge of clinical billing (IDX codes)\n to ensure appropriate accounting and reimbursement of services rendered \n Knowledge of medical terminology, with ability to\n distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s)\n and medical diagnoses \n Skill in employing independent decision making while\n performing various job functions \n Telephone manners and skills to handle heavy telephone\n lines with courtesy and tact \n Understand the requirements of the EMTALA (Emergency\n Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act) \n \n \n\n
