retirement program. Requirements: Conduct inspections, diagnostics,
and repairs on emergency response vehicles, including engine
systems, electrical systems, air conditioning, brakes, and
hydraulics. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as fluid
changes, filter replacements, and component inspections. Carry out
repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning parts,
ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry
standards. Operate typical shop tools including hand and air tools,
saws, drill press, electrical diagnostic equipment and acetylene
welding devices. Road testing and transporting fire apparatus,
service vehicles, and trucks Read and interpret schematic drawings,
diagrams, orders, and/or reports. Collaborate with the team to
troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective repair solutions.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and
parts inventory. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations,
creating a safe working environment for yourself and your
colleagues. Qualifications: 3 years of experience as a professional
mechanic preferred Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills,
with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues
efficiently. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and various
hand and power tools. Knowledge of diesel engine systems,
hydraulics, air conditioning, electrical systems, and brake
systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics to
perform accurate repairs and maintenance. Detail-oriented with
excellent organizational and time management skills. Including
cleanliness of your assigned work area. Strong communication and
teamwork abilities, working effectively with colleagues to achieve
common goals. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Obtain (or possess) own tools. Frequent bending, stooping,
squatting, and climbing up and down ladders. Ability to travel and
stay overnight for offsite services and Maintain expense reports
for travel costs. Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
Successful completion of the drug and background screening
