(specializing in structural steel), -you will be working at an
exciting construction project in Paramount that will transform a
crude oil refinery into California's most important hub for the
production and blending of advanced renewable jet, diesel,
gasoline, and propane fuels. This project will help reduce both
refinery and fuel emissions while supporting more than 100
advanced, green economy jobs. As an essential member of the project
team, you will ensure accurate construction-cost scheduling. -This

openings for talented Project Engineers with -2 years experience
-working with structural steel and managing construction projects
ranging from $250,000 - $15 million or more.What you'll be
doing:You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and
executing a specific scope of the project you are assigned to at
Harder. You will coordinate with field labor to ensure the work is
completed safely, on schedule, and up to Harder Mechanical's
quality standards. -Project Engineers at Harder perform the
following daily tasks:
Review construction drawings and
compile project scope and quantitiesResolve engineering issues and
constraints through communication with design engineers, owner
representatives, and fellow team membersMonitor field construction
and ensure compliance with construction plans and
specificationsEngage in work sequence planningPrepare and monitor
work packages, including labor and cost estimatesTrack construction
progress and update status weeklyOrganize project records in an
effective document control systemMentor new engineers in their
roles, taking responsibility for their training and
developmentAssist the project manager in additional duties as
requiredEstimate future workWhat you will need to be successful in
this role:
Proficient in Microsoft Office &
Bluebeam - intermediate skills in ExcelKnowledge of mechanical
systems, and experience reading mechanical and plumbing
drawingsAbility to communicate with a broad spectrum of people
including suppliers, field crews, designers, and
ownersSelf-starter, motivated and takes initiativeOrganized and
productiveStrong time management skills and ability to prioritize
tasks on an ongoing basisRelentless commitment to teamwork and
client satisfactionInterest in LEAN construction principlesAbility
to travel to other regions to gain exposure to additional markets
and industriesMust have valid driver licenseMechanical
aptitudeEducation/Experience:
2-10 years of construction management
experienceAt least 2 years of experience working with steel
structures -Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business
Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering and/or
equivalent experience or educationBenefits
