PositionTerritory: This position is part of the West Region. The
person selected will will be primarily focused on Northern
California, in addition may provide support for Northern Nevada and
Oregon as needed.Location: This is a remote, field based position.
Preference for the person selected for this role to reside in
Sacramento, or within 50 miles of Sacramento.Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel over the first year for training at Roche
Headquarters in Indianapolis. Co-travel/mentoring in the field
within the region and occasionally outside of region. Estimated
travel outside the region for the first year up to 35%, expect
approximately 50% travel during first year when including regional

OpportunityThe Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing
exceptional support to customers. As a Field Engineering
Specialist:
- You will travel to customer sites and showcase your expertise
in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product
lines.
- You will offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your
assigned territory.
- You will provide routine technical support, on-site service,
repair, and installation of Roche products.
- You will serve as a customer contact for technical and
service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software,
and system failures.
- You will document all activities, contribute to quality
improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.Who You
AreRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or
equivalent military training or work experience
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing
mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless
networking is necessary, OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Chemistry, or related field, plus 1-2 years of progressive
experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical, or system
hardware and software, or networking, or wireless networking.
- Successful completion of training or certification as defined
by RD Services Leadership and policy.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement
for this role.Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in a
relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems,
and information technology
- Ability to serve as an internal technical resource that can
train and mentor other FES in the region.
- Provide support after hours and on weekends and holidays as
required
- Possess strong customer service skills to ensure positive
customer relationshipsAdditional InformationThe expected salary
range for this position based on the primary location of California
is $78 - $145k. Actual pay will be determined based on experience,
qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors
permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available
based on individual and Company performance. This position also
qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided
