Job Description:
Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator Profession: Mental Health
Specialty: LPC, LCSW, LMFT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1st shift
Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Five (5) years of clinical
experience, including two (2) years in a comparable job position
required License: Current and active state license required
Certifications: LPC, LCSW, LMFT certification or licensing required
Must-Have: Must be at least 18 years of age Description: The Mental
Health Coordinator plans and provides clinical mental health
services of a non-medical nature within the facility. The
successful candidate should be able to perform all functions at a
pace and level of performance consistent with job requirements. The
coordinator conducts mental health screenings and assessments based
on available records and clinical interviews. Treatment is provided
to individuals by developing, implementing, and modifying
individual treatment plans based on evaluations of needs and levels
of functioning. Documentation of treatment and evaluation
activities in health care records is required for each individual
seen. Strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information
must be maintained at all times. A thorough knowledge of
psychological counseling theory and techniques is essential.
Appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis
interventions are provided to address individuals' needs.
