Job Description:
Sports Physical Therapy (SPT) is seeking a dedicated Certified
Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team, specializing in
sports rehabilitation. This role involves assisting occupational
therapists in administering therapeutic interventions and programs
to athletes and individuals recovering from sports-related
injuries, enhancing their recovery and improving their performance.
You will play a critical role in our mission to provide
personalized and innovative care, ensuring patients can return to
their peak physical condition. Assist occupational therapists in
developing treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions as
prescribed, focusing on patient safety and efficacy. Monitor
patient responses to treatment and report outcomes to the primary
therapist. Educate patients and families on treatment modalities
and home exercises. Maintain accurate patient records and
documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Support the therapist in researching new techniques and tools
applicable to sports rehabilitation. Strong understanding of
occupational therapy principles and sports medicine. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work
collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using
therapeutic equipment and technology. 401k Certified by the
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an OTA in the practicing
state.
