ASAP About the Position The Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
(RN L&D) provides comprehensive nursing care to women during
labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. This role
involves monitoring maternal and fetal status, administering
medications, assisting with labor management and delivery
procedures, and providing patient education and emotional support.
The RN L&D collaborates closely with obstetricians, midwives,
anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams to ensure safe, high-quality
care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, standards
of practice, and evidence-based guidelines. Requirements Active
Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent Labor &
Delivery experience BLS (Basic Life Support) – required ACLS
(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – required NRP (Neonatal
Resuscitation Program) – required Fetal Monitoring / EFM
certification – required Strong knowledge of labor management,
high-risk pregnancies, and emergency obstetric care Ability to work
effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Excellent
communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills Benefits
