What you will do Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital
role of Neural Nexus Change Management Director will have
responsibilities to enable the strategic planning, operational
readiness, and comprehensive program management of our
organization's innovative Neural Nexus (NN) - Generative AI and
Automation platform. The incumbent will drive and deliver the
successful design, implementation, rollout, and continuous
evolution of this ground-breaking program, ensuring its alignment
with cross-functional teams and enterprise priorities to improve
business impact. The individual in this role will not merely lead a
technology platform; and will orchestrate a fundamental shift in
how Amgen will adopt and harness the power of Neural Nexus and its
core components including Insights Command Center, Adaptive
Resource Optimization, and Patient Intelligence Engine. This
position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of AI
adoption in a high-impact sector, addressing complex business
challenges that merge advanced technology, pharmaceutical data
science, and robust governance and agentic frameworks. Flexible
Commuter role to one of two US Sites, in Thousand Oaks, CA, OR
Deerfield, IL. You will work on-site a minimum of 3 days a week.
This role is central to enabling Amgens AI-driven transformation by
embedding change strategy and enterprise readiness into every phase
of the Neural Nexus program. The Director will lead high-priority,
cross-functional initiatives that ensure successful adoption of AI
and automation across the organization, building durable
capabilities, reshaping operating models, and driving lasting
impact. Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Development for the NN
Platform Inspire change planning and execution as part of
high-priority, enterprise transformation initiatives under the
Neural Nexus umbrella, ensuring alignment between platform roadmap
breakthroughs and Amgens long-term strategic objectives Lead
transformation programs or workstreams to deliver business
solutions from problem-solving through implementation partnering
with Neural Nexus leadership to align organizational change
strategies with platform turning points and roadmap objectives,
ensuring readiness and adoption are built into long-term planning
Partner with business and platform leads to assess organizational
change impacts and readiness implications of prioritized Automation
and Agentic use cases across CD&A, Commercial, Medical, and
V&A functions Serve as a key enabler of Generative AI adoption
by translating complex platform capabilities into clear, actionable
business impacts. Engage cross-functional collaborators to develop
understanding, manage expectations, and support change readiness
within a regulated enterprise environment End-to-End Management of
NN Platform Lifecycle Lead the change management strategy across
the Neural Nexus platform lifecycle from early planning and
business impact assessment through deployment, adoption, and
continuous improvement, to ensure organizational readiness at every
phase ensuring scalable deployment and sustained business
engagement across transformation workstreams Develop and manage
detailed change workstream plans, timelines, and breakthroughs that
align with broader program delivery and enterprise transformation
goals Collaborate with business unit leads and Neural Nexus
partners to assess the organizational change impacts of prioritized
use cases, identify affected workflows and teams, and define
readiness criteria for successful implementation Development &
Integration: Partner with the Neural Nexus platform and technology
teams to ensure change readiness is integrated into development and
deployment plans, aligning operational workflows, communication,
and training with evolving solution requirements Deployment &
Rollout: Plan and complete carefully phased deployment strategies
for new Agentic POC and capabilities, leading organizational change
effectively and ensuring comprehensive operational readiness for
platform adoption across targeted user groups and business
processes Continuous Improvement & Optimization: Lead the
development of processes to continuously assess Neural Nexus
adoption, partner feedback, and organizational sentiment. Leverage
these insights to identify resistance points, reinforce engagement
strategies, and guide iterative enhancements to change plans.
Ensure feedback loops are embedded into rollout cycles to support
long-term platform relevance, sustained behavior change, and
alignment with evolving business needs Cross-Functional Team
Orchestration & Collaboration Cultivate a highly collaborative and
inclusive environment that breaks down traditional silos, ensuring
seamless communication and execution throughout the platform's
design, development, deployment, and operational phases Serve as a
critical liaison to technical AI teams and pharmaceutical domain
experts ie. CD&A, Medical, V&A, Commercial, etc. This
requires exceptional skill in translating complex technical jargon
into understandable business concepts and vice-versa, ensuring
mutual understanding, shared objectives, and effective
communication protocols across teams with varied backgrounds,
priorities, and expertise Executive Collaborator Management &
Strategic Communication Partner with executive collaborators to
provide change leadership perspective on Neural Nexus adoption and
organizational readiness. Serve as a key thought partner in
aligning change strategies with enterprise priorities and
collaborator expectations Develop and deliver change-focused
communications and executive updates that convey progress on Neural
Nexus adoption, organizational readiness, risks, and performance
against key change and engagement metrics. Tailor messaging to
align with the needs of diverse business and leadership audiences
Translate complex Neural Nexus and Generative AI concepts into
clear business implications to support change alignment and
collaborator understanding. Help lead expectations around GenAI
capabilities and limitations in a highly regulated environment
using storytelling and value framing to resonate with
executive-level audiences and support informed decision-making
Driving Platform Adoption & Value Realization Develop and implement
comprehensive strategies to drive broad and effective user adoption
of the Generative AI platform across the organization, improving
the business value derived from its capabilities including the
design of fit-for-purpose enablement approaches and monitoring
frameworks tailored to functional partner needs Inspire change
enablement efforts, including collaborator engagement,
communications planning, and alignment of training strategies to
ensure users are equipped, confident, and motivated to integrate
Neural Nexus capabilities into daily workflows Define, track, and
rigorously report on relevant KPIs to measure platform impact and
user engagement, ensuring that the platform supplies to achieving
strategic business goals such as accelerated drug discovery
timelines, reduced operational costs, or improved quality metrics
Change Management & Continuous Improvement Lead and champion change
management initiatives associated with the introduction of NN and
new automated processes, addressing potential cultural shifts and
operational adjustments Champion a culture of continuous learning,
experimentation (within ethical and regulatory boundaries), and
adaptation within the organization, encouraging teams to adopt
AI-driven transformation What we expect of you We are all

qualifications. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 4 years
of Change Management experience OR Masters degree and 8 years of
Change Management experience OR Bachelors degree and 10 years of
Change Management experience In addition to meeting at least one of
the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience
directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading
teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or
resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the
required technical experience referenced above Preferred
Qualifications: Strong Technical Proficiency (AI/ML): Strong
conceptual and practical understanding of AI/ML technologies, with
a particular emphasis on Generative AI, model development
lifecycles, platform architecture, and the associated data
requirements Consistent track record of successfully leading
large-scale, complex, cross-functional initiatives from conception
to completion, including managing executive-level partners in a
matrixed organizational structure Demonstrable experience in
creating strategic roadmaps, handling significant budgets, and
allocating resources effectively for technology or operational
improvement projects Familiar with Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical
data and experience working with Medical and/or Commercial field
data, reporting, and systems Solid understanding of data
architecture, data management standard processes, and cloud
computing platforms as they pertain to supporting AI/ML workloads
Passion for deriving data insights, storytelling, and driving
measurable impact Adaptability and Agility: Demonstrated
flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
with the ability to quickly respond to changing market conditions
and organizational priorities Ethical Standards: A strong
commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all
analyses and business practices, ensuring unbiased and objective
decision-making Outstanding exposure to and understanding of AI/ML
platform lifecycles, with experience in Generative AI technologies
being a strong plus. The ability to grasp both the potential and
the limitations of these technologies within a regulated context is
crucial Demonstrated success in leading organizational change
management efforts and driving the adoption of new technologies and
processes within a large, complex enterprise Experience working
effectively with international teams and diverse global
collaborators. Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Superior ability to
analyze complex, dynamic problems, synthesize diverse information
streams, develop data-driven strategies, and align operational
plans meticulously with overarching business objectives.

(excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on
