the following open positions: Job Title: EHS Engineer Department:
Maintenance Press Forge, located in Paramount, California, is
seeking a highly motivated, energetic Environmental Health & Safety
(EHS) Engineer. The EHS Engineer will be responsible for monitoring
environmental health and safety conditions of the workplace by
identifying problems, recommending solutions, and ensuring that the
Company is always striving for continuous improvement in regards to
safety and accountability. Job Duties: Implement / develop and
maintain effective health and safety programs to eliminate
workplace injury and illness.
Drive 100% environmental, health, and safety compliance with
federal, state, and local regulatory requirements Drive error-proof
processes for environmental compliance and safety Drive
improvements in site EHS culture, awareness, and accountability
Understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast site impacts
Promote continuous improvement and standardization of existing
health and safety programs, procedures, and tools to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements and PCC best practices
Drive risk reduction projects by identifying, prioritizing, and
implementing appropriate corrective actions Interact daily with
employees to promote safety programs and accident prevention
Collect, maintain, analyze and distribute plant safety data in
accordance with business and site specific guidance Maintain EHS
expertise to provide technical and regulatory support to Operations
team Maintain site EHS metrics and work cooperatively with EHS
Manager on various projects and initiatives, including GHG
reduction , Air Quality, sustainability, and culture change Oversee
compliance assurance program, perform site audits, and lead efforts
with management team to implement corrective actions Conduct
incident / accident investigations and develop corrective and
preventative action plans Conduct annual regulatory assessments to
maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulators
Oversee regular safety audits , training, and inspections of the
workplace Ensure site personnel understand and comply with all
environmental permits Maintain, schedule, and report EHS training
and assist in developing EHS training materials Requirements:
Bachelors in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety,
Industrial Hygiene, Environmental/Civil/Chemical/Safety Engineering
or related fields, Masters Degree a plus At least 2 years of EHS
experience in a heavy industrial environment.
Knowledge and experience working with state and federal
environmental health and safety regulatory programs including the
Clean Air Act, RCRA, Clean Water Act, EPCRA, DOT, OSHA etc.
Working knowledge of NFPA and ANSI Standards.
Experience conducting air and noise sampling (i.e. personal air
sampling, IAQ, Noise mapping, audio dosimetry, etc.) Excellent
communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; experience
writing technical reports.
Experience auditing and/or evaluating compliance, preparing routine
environmental reports, Form R, Tier II and other routine regulatory
reporting. Note : This position is subject to the International
Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person
status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent
Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
